Yeah, unfortunate design decision at the beginning of the days. Bin deployed 
should win always  over GAC, but not something that can be changed 
light-hearted.
I just uninstalled the mvc3 I had and then reinstalled the new version. Funny 
thing is that the webpi was not installing mvc3 even after having uninistalled 
the bits manually.
