Hello, A few momths ago I asked about using clear pots for most of the Orchid Genera. I would like to know if a few more of you have had experience using these pots. I would lijke to repot Cattleyas,Paphiopedilums and Pragmipediums. Thank for the interest shown. Paul Bouleau
The problem I found with clear pots in my conditions is they grow algae in the inside of the pot. Within a short time I might as well have a green pot as the growth inside has turned it a bright green. With enough of this green scum in my pot I wonder what is going on with the orchid. Added to the fact that with out the coloration the pot does not hold up as long I do not use them. Perhaps if I was using tap water and not DI it could do better Wayne Roberts Flower Supply
