Hi All.
This may be a bit away from "Orchids" but we use these plants in our floral
display section in our orchid club shows.
When the leaves are full grown. They will if grown well, measure up to 3 feet
each leaf.
"Haemanthus coccineus" . This year for the first time I have managed to get
them to set seed. On ripening, I collected about 70. Very dark brown in
colour, so seem to be fertile.
20 years or so ago I was given 3 plants as seedling and my friend said he
sow's the seed same as for clivia's seed.
Just below the surface of a sandy seed raisning mix.
This I have done and placed them in the orchid house.
Any comment on this method and time elapse before seeing shoots emerge,
further growning on hints !.

Cheerio and thanks in advance.
Ron.
On the sunny coast of NSw Australia, where winter is sneaking up on us.
