Remember I was asking about what I thought was Trichoglottis pusilla? I
mounted it on one of Andy's sticks, it was very happy, and now it is in bloom, but
it is not Trgl. pusilla. I don't have a camera I can use for it handy. Perhaps
if I describe it, someone will recognize it.
The foliage is somewhat like Neofinetia or a very small Ascocentrum, sort of
keeled or sl. folded, dark green, with a little pigment at the base (under
lights). It has a long wiry inflorescence sticking straight out. Right now it's a
raceme, but it looks as though it might branch in the future. The flowers are
somewhat widely spaced, opening from the base of the stem out. The flower is
about 9 mm. across, widest at the lateral sepals. The sepals are pinkish green
& curve forward, especially the dorsal. The petals are smaller & plain green.
The lip is white & saccate, with three points. There is a very prominent
lavender spur that hangs down. Does this sound like anyone you know?
