I had used Cygon and never had any problems from it, others tell me of the horror stories of what it did to their plants.

I have heard you can still get it from various distributors if you do a Google search, but I would recommend you look for other less toxic method of controlling your scale. Insecticides like Enstar are expensive, but should be very good against your scale. If you choke on the price, get some friends to go in with you and share a bottle.

Cygon has been found to be dangerous. Also it can be very damaging to orchids. For the kind of scale we get around here, I have found Orthenex quite satisfactory if used several times. Iris
