I recently acquired a small Masdevallia at an auction, and seek help in identifying it.
The label indicates it is from Ecuagenera Co. in Ecuador, and shows the name as "Masdevallia amplexa." My meager library of Masdevallia literature does not show that name, nor is it in the Wildcatt list of hybrids or species. Any help would be appreciated. I would especially like to learn of any cultural preferences it might have. Giles Smith Santa Monica, CA
