The product, as I say, has been banned in some states...Calif and here in Hawaii come to mind...Consequently and with discussions with others, It is possible that the concentration may be different now than 25 plus years ago..and that might explain how some one could use 2 tsp per gallon on seedlings and not destroy them,,,as I did 25 years ago...Mind you...soft tissued plants and things like Cattleyas...or other non orchid plants...are bound to react differently from heavy dosages...I got my info in the early 70s from the factory rep...(that you do not need the recommended dose...and, in fact, it is too much for certain applications) This all may be irrelevant if the formulation has been changed...but non the less...the smaller dosage works, and has worked fine for me for all these years...and I have no deformities...and no bacterial or fungal infections...Bill _______________________________________________ the OrchidGuide Digest (OGD) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.orchidguide.com/mailman/listinfo/orchids
