Hello everyone,
Has anyone ever seen a variety of phal lindenii that was called
'blue' that the leaves did not have the normal characteristics, ie
dark green, greyish mottling overlay on top and darker mostly reddish
underneath? I'm asking just in the slight chance that there is
something like that out there, but my assumption is that when someone
was labeling a flask way back when, they meant to write phal violacea
'blue' and about then the caffeine from their morning coffee ran out
and they wrote 'lindenii'. The vendor I purchased them from is
extremely reliable and will not hesitate to take the plant back or
switch for another/others, just covering all the bases.

get destroyed by a parking lot so why not take them now?"
- this isn't a negative comment about your post, just that it is
unfortunately fairly accurate that they would get placed under a
strip mall or something like that at some point, but not saying that
that is a justification at all for digging them up. Quite the
opposite! I heard of one spot of a fairly large population of a quite
rare species in the general mid-atlantic states area that ended up
underneath a sport-bass fishing lake. All depends on where the money
is coming from... and I don't think the state of kentucky is too
concerned about plants, but I hope they prove me wrong!
