One of the things that I have noticed about the 'new, improved' AOS
"Orchids" is the softness/over-processed look of many of their pictures.
Example: July 2004 issue and the set of pictures in "Australian Orchids
Indoors" or the over sharpened pictures on pages 510 and 511. All look
like they had a very unhappy run-in with Photoshop. AOS judging resists the
use of digital images in recording awarded plants and then AOS seems to
demonstrate in their magazine exactly why most of their award photographers
prefer to use film even though digital quality and color fidelity are their
potential equal.

Comments anyone?
