Another correction from Dr Henry F Oakeley re [Orchids Digest, V6 # 324]: Re: Anguloa eburnea or ?
Dear Jean-Marie/Orchid Guide My apologies - could this paragraph be substituted for the relevant one in the letter replying to the queries re Anguloa eburnea, which I sent you earlier about Anguloa eburnea. (Venezuela substituted for Colombia in three places) Thanks Henry viz, from north east to south west and then south the distribution is tognettiae (La Puerta Venezuela) - Bot. Reg. plant (Merida Venezuela) - Dunsterville plant (Tachira Venezuela) - Bot. Reg. plant + virginalis (Ocana Colombia) - tognettiae (Guayabetal, Colombia) - virginalis (Cali, Colombia) --- eburnea+ virginalis (Ecuador) - virginalis + uniflora (Peru). The illustrations, while suggesting an influence of Anguloa eburnea, are not supported by the Lindley herbarium specimen, so I now believe that the Bot.
