Thanks Peter and Charles for your replies. The leeches are bound to be
a highlight of the trip!
(Are leeches CITES protected or can I drop a couple off over Singapore
on the way home???) ;-)

I am a bit perplexed as Dr Cribb's paph book says that Paph Sanderianum
flowers in the wild in March and April.
Dr Braem's books says that they flower (in the wild) on and off
throughout the year (unusual for paphs), Jan, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Aug,
Sep, Oct & Nov,... yet the guides in the national park there are
telling me that they have just finished flowering and are not expected
to flower again for a full year. Who do i believe? The experts, or the
people who live there (who possibly may not know what they are talking
about??)

I'm sure that there must be someone on the list who has been. I'm ready
(reluctantly) for the leeches, but would love to hear of any other
experiences or worthwhile destinations in the Borneo area.

Cheers
Kim

I am planning a trip next April to Borneo, particularly to see paphs
growing at Kinabalu, and paph sanderianum in it's natural habitat in
Mulu National Park.
If anyone has been here and can offer any advice, or recommend
particular points of interest around Sarawak and Sabah (orchids or
otherwise), I would be pleased to hear from you.

Thanks
Kim
