Dear Katie

My mother passed away about a year ago, and I am finally going through all her
things, which is not an easy job to do. In doing so, I found my parents
(father gone 20 yrs.) wedding picture, marriage license, jewish marriage
license, wedding announcement that my grandparents had sent out, along with an
old lace hankerchief, two 1946 pennies that a note says they wore in their
shoes, and a small blue ribbon my mother had tied on her bra strap. In the
picture she wore an orchid.

I am planning on doing a shadow box with all of the above in it, but I would
love to put in a dried orchid, it would really fininsh the project. Can you
tell me how to go about drying an orchid. I got your email address off of
Google. If you can not help me, then maybe you can direct me to who could.

In the picture it looks like a small white orchid corsage, so I could probably
go to any GOOD florist and pick one up, but then I need the help in drying it.
I dry my garden roses all the time, and just this past year even dried a
flower from one of my artichoke plants....and it dried great, just hanging
upside down.

Thanks ahead of time for all your cooperation, and I will look forward to
hearing from you very soon.
