Nina, I just received the 6 issues today, and yes, they were published by the Houston Orchid Society. Lying in front of me I have: Volume 1: issues 1 (spring 1947), 2 (summer 1947) & 4 (winter 1947 - 1948) Volume 2: issues 1 (spring 1948), 2 (summer 1948) & 3 (autumn 1948) Volume 1 was edited by Mrs. Doris J. Japhet and volume 2 by Mrs. Alfred J. Proebstle. I found these on ebay and on there it was mentioned that they once belonged to Mr & Mrs Proebstle. So, any ideas on how long this publication ran ? Kenneth. PS: contact me off list if you want a scan. _______________________________________________ the OrchidGuide Digest (OGD) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.orchidguide.com/mailman/listinfo/orchids
