Andy and others,

I don't know if there are any such growers in the Pacific NW, but I'd be willing to conduct interviews if there are. But like any oral history project, I think it would be useful to have some set questions to start with. I'm not sure I'd know what to ask.

As for the AOS historical committee is concerned, my take is that their efforts would be better spent doing this kind of archival work rather than doing the work of the library committee (rare and out of print books are still library matters, whereas archives includes all of the unpublished areas--although in the age of the Internet, what constitutes "publication" has much changed.

BTW, does anyone know if the AOS Bulletin/Orchids CD digitization project ever eventuated? I know that they never asked my permission to use my intellectual property therein, and thus would be open to legal action by anyone who hadn't signed away their intellectual property rights.
