The time shown tells us when immature pro-embryos
of non ripe seeds
will continue to develop on an artificial medium,
in-vitro; outside the capsule.
It does not tell us how long it takes for the
capsule to mature and produce
ripe seeds, which may well be double or triple the time shown in this
chart.
