Great post David, as some of us actually in the orchid trade said when Paris, France was initially chosen: what a stupid choice for a WOC host country. Of course Paris fell over and Dijon was cobbled together for a weak substitute. Notice how no-one has posted the attendance figures either. Apparently this year's Florissimo was more of a "Florimo", with reduced attendance. Maybe the few orchid people scared them off! Forget the non orchid types like one who said "forget the orchids, let's just go to Burgundy and drink the wine" and listen to the dissatisfied. Remember who was hogging center stage in Dijon, Joyce Stewart and Alasdair Morrison and remember it was the same pair in Glasgow, the previous notable WOC debacle. Two out of four active WOC Trustees resigned after Dijon, maybe the Dragon lady should be cleared out too.
