I know not everyone here has taken any laws classes, so let me clear
this whole agreement issue up. If Jerry signed a contract saying that he
would not sell them or export them for two years, that is a totally valid
contract. What many of you don't understand is that in a contract, you can
give up your rights that may have been outlined somewhere else. For
example, I can sign a contract for Guido saying I won't talk about his
taxonomy, and even though it is my right to say what I want, I have sold
this right in the contract. It would not be a binding contract if Jerry had
recieved nothing out of it. If there was a law prohibiting making this kind
of agreement, then the contract would be void. However, to my knowledge
there is not, and this is a totally valid contract.
