This is a question for anyone who reckons they're an expert in hybridizing Dendrobiums.

If someone was to cross Dendrobium lancifolium (wiry stems, large single-flowered inflorescences) with a typical inter-sectional Dendrobium hybrid (something with lots of D. bigibbum in it, to provide velvety dark purple stripes on the midlobe), would the offspring

(a) have wiry stems or swollen stems ?
(b) have short single-flowered inflorescences or long multi-flowered inflorescences ?

thanks for your help.
