Maureen, I second Ray's comments on glass as being inefficient. I'm in coastal GA (zone 8b) & my small greenhouse (10' x 12') has twinwall polycarbonate roof panels and single pane, tempered glass side walls. If I had it to do over, it would ALL be TW polycarbonate. Much more energy efficient & fewer hot spots resulting in burn spots on leaves. IMO Ray is also correct re propane vs elec. I've used both & even at today's prices, propane is cheaper, plus it "feels" warmer. I'm not enough of a techhie to be able to back that opinion up with data though:) Good luck w/your greenhouse!
