I would highly recommend Enstar II, which is an insect growth regulator, not an insecticide.
 
My typical approach is to use a contact killer like Orthene or Merit, mixed with the Enstar II, then do the follow-up applications with Enstar II alone.  The insecticide will kill the adults, and the IGR will prevent the rest of the population from maturing.  No maturation = no reproduction = no more population.
 
And better still is the fact that the insect population cannot develop a tolerance as they can to insecticides, precluding the breeding of resistant strains.
