I just love all these Poms with pretensions! Many
of us have more than 1500 orchids in one end of our growing area and we do all
the work ourselves. It is typical of a certain type of person to claim to be an
orchid grower when in fact all the growing is done by paid help and all they do
is bask in the reflected glory when their friends comment on the lovely orchids
displayed in their stately homes. All in all a bad reminder of that woeful World
Orchid Conference staged in Glasgow by Hopalong Al and the Orchid Parasite,
remembered mainly for the overpriced accomodations and awful food.
