For subscribers who might have missed reading or receiving OGD Volume 8, Issue 88 and 89, the International Orchid Conservation Congress III which will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica, March 19-24, 2007, was mentioned. Readers interested in participating in the IOCC were invited to request that their names be placed on the mailing list for bulletins/newsletters about the IOCC III. The response was excellent!
Recently, the IOCC III Finance Committee has unanimously decided to extend the early registration deadline from September 15 to October 15, 2006. Early registration is $380.00 US, and after October 15, 2006, registration for the IOCC III will be $410.00. The decision to extend the deadline was based on the fact that during September the IOCC Accountant will be unavailable to answer questions regarding early registration. Bulletin #7 will be circulated later this month. Bulletin #8 will be circulated in October - after the early registration deadline. We are pleased to report that at this time the number of those who have confirmed their participation or interest in the IOCC has exceeded our expectations! If you are interested in receiving the IOCC III bulletins, please contact me off list. The newsletter is in pdf format.
