Viateur cited an URL that had a photo of Bulbophyllum echinolabium,
along with the caption "Parts of the bloom grow to... 12 inches in
length".

I've been measuring flowers of this species for several years now,
trying to establish just how large they get. The largest I've seen had
a natural spread of 493 mm long x 198 mm wide. For those who are
metrically-challenged, this is 19.4 inches x 7.8 inches. These
measurements are taken directly from the flower in-situ, so the dorsal
sepal was drooping and nothing was artificially spread out.
