At the WOC in Vancouver there was a class for
fragrance and was judged by a team of 7 people. If you look in the Proceedings
book [page 8] you will find a photograph of the team and one of Renee Gerber.
The winner was Coel. ocaracea Var Alba owned by J & I Orchids. I know we had
trouble in the selection of judges with one of them being a perfumer? by
profession. originally the idea was to have a set of paper cones to slip
around the plants to concentrate the perfume but that did not last long in the
judging a it was very hard to handle. The next problem was the Night perfumers
these were put in a dark room for 15 minutes before thy were judged.
