I empathize with Kenneth¹s problems in getting the OGD back in order. I
personally know of people who failed to receive their OGD posts and were
unable to communicate by e-mail in the other direction as well. Kenneth
finally got those specific problems solved, but it appears that his problems
are more widespread and affect a number of members who subscribe to the OGD.

At times like this it may be well to recall the old bromide: TANSTAAFL. For
those who are unfamiliar with it, it stands for: ³There ain¹t no such thing
as a free lunch.²

The OGD is a wonderful service for orchidophiles, and Kenneth is to be
praised for his efforts and his concerns. But why should all the burdens,
financial and otherwise, fall on his shoulders?

So, Kenneth, would a modest fee by those who benefit from the OGD help solve
the problems that are facing you now? Or, would it complicate things
further by adding another layer of work to the process? If it would help, I
for one would be happy to contribute my fair share.

My best wishes to all.

Charles Bracker
