I can attest to his degree of dedication just based on the willingness to persevere through the mosquitos. There are two places where I've taken people to photograph some native orchids in upstate ny where either the mosquitos or deerflies were so bad that despite having bug clothing on and covered with bug spray the onslaught of bugs was enough to drive us to distraction.
