As onetime secretary of the Ira Butler Committee I communicated with Colin many times. Then at a Conference in Townsville I actually met him. Later at Vancouver we met again. I always enjoyed his company and his articles in the Orchid Australia and hope I told him so. He is a great loss to us all.
