Hi,

I'm the same person who sent the question about the biomass fuel & habitat.
This is a completely unrelated question.

Would you like one of your favorite orchids to "star" in a painting video? I
am making how-to-paint art videos with live orchids as the models and
traditional watercolor as the medium. I have two done already, and I just
started doing this 2 weeks ago.

The first one was real rough because I was just learning the digital-video
process, but the second one ran a lot more smoothly. I have half of it
uploaded in 3-to-5-minute segments in my blog:
http://windowsillorchids.blogspot.com I painted it this weekend in two
sessions: a half-hour on Saturday and 3/4 hour on Sunday. The clips are
almost totally real-time.

I want each of my paintings to be of an identifiable orchid. I will happily
use an orchid you send me as the model and include a credit to your business
or site if you wish, or any other form of acknowledgement that you may
prefer. I also would like to get to keep the orchid :) and you get to keep
the original watercolor.

This would be a good opportunity for orchid breeders to have one featured in
my videos on Google, Youtube, and elsewhere, because these painting-hobby
videos tend to build a following over time, if what I have seen of other
artists is typical.

I am a novice grower, so I think if you send me a fairly "novice" level
plant in budding spike, I should be able to produce a painting video very
soon after the first blossom or two opens.

This is my plan to keep from spending ALL my money on orchids.... (the
addiction is serious!)
