What does the group think about using the small propane torches for sterilizing shears? I have been using this method for years, but have never tested my plants for virus. This method certainly burns off the little bits and pieces that remain on the blades. They glow then drop off. I don't really know whether viruses could stand the heat. I was told years ago that the blades need not be heated to glowing. The propane canisters are readily available.
