The most simple way to get you surfactants into the material you are 
trying to sterilise is to use a ultrasonic cleaner for a minute before  
you start the process...this will break down surface tensin and let your 
sterilizing agent...with a surfactant...work into the surface of the 
plant material...prolonged use will damage the stomata and the material 
will die or be adversely affected
It is good to see the enthusiasm of people on the list...but often 
re-inventing to wheel is a difficult road to travel.
