About Tanteidan Magazine > So currently that's ¥5500 for a single diagram... No. Last issue (135) had 9 diagrams and 1 crease pattern. And the price includes shipping. Issue 134 had 3 diagrams and one crease pattern. Issue 133 also had 3 diagrams and one crease pattern. diagram price range= ¥550 ~ ¥1375 > That's an extra ¥5500. A membership gets you the standard 6-issue > subscription, In which case ¥11000 gets you at least 18 diagrams and 6 crease patterns. average price (3 diagrams + 1 crease pattern) = ¥440 shipping included. So that's $5 for one gorgeous diagram, on paper, directly sent from Japan, including articles and other goodies. With this in mind, I maintain that $2 for a downloadable file is a very reasonable price with maybe a maximum of $5 for complex diagrams. I am not criticizing anyone for setting higher prices. I wrote previously that market expectations exist and if Tanteidan Magazine can be considered as representing a part of the diagram market (as it seems to be), then authors who sell online should consider pricing based on such standards and not try to come up with prices that have no basis in reality.
