For some time I am developing masks. you can see them on
http://tiny.cc/4jgyaw. I combined techniques of Saadya, Joisel and some
of my own to make these masks. I used a foiled backed paper to make
these masks. Foil backing is necessary to keep shape in place. Recentley
I had to make a mask that needed to be lighted from inside. I could not
use foiled back paper. When I tried to make it from 100 gsm paper
crimps kept on coming undone. Then I used a cello tape to keep them in
place and could manage to finish the fold. I probabeley could have done
it using wet folding technique. However, it is a long and tedious
process as you have to wait at every step for the paper to dry.
I was wondering whether what I have done is an Origami and if
not what is it?
