a new to me book. It was published this year! and for $12.98, I purchased it. Amazon doesn't have it, but I did find it here so you can see the cover and some of the pages:

I wrote the book with some amazing collaborators (some from this list) in a very intensive period last year from my little studio in Austria. The publisher is in Australia, and we've still to organise a shipment, I'm waiting to see the retail price from Amazon before I ship any purchased copies to myself. To those of you on the list who made a contribution, your copy will be on it's way to you as soon as Amazon has it in stock, which should hopefully be soon, thanks for your patience. Whilst writing the book, I was aiming to introduce different approaches to using folding and origami techniques in design contexts - and not always purist as new materials require new approaches. I had a great talk to Illan Garibi at the Italian Origami Convention late last year, I taught him my fabric folding recipe - from the fashion section of Designer Origami - and he instantly went home and made some amazing stuff from his own designs, posted on flickr here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/garibiilan/ And also, I dont know how the publisher can sell this book so cheaply, its 192 pages full colour, hard cover, bound so you can open it flat, and still they stock it in bargain bins, not because it's end of the line, because it is an absolute bargain! perhaps next time I'll do a highly priced fine art book that nobody buys Matthew Gardiner
