You can make a similar unit by this method start with a waterbomb base, right-angled corner upwards Fold an outer (folded) edge, starting at the top corner, so it lies on the vertical centre Repeat 3 times Fold up small right-angled triangles at the base (which are the "locking flaps"). My friend Wayne Brown showed this to me, but he's unsure if it's original - has anyone seen this before - it's quite likely, but you never know!
