The sources that Anne gave match pretty much what I know. The diagrams in the der falter magazine are really a crease-pattern and some drawings of the tricky (and fun!) collapse. The diagrams in the Oru magazine are great. When I compiled the models for BOS booklet 70, I elected to include this great model, so there are diagrams for it in the booklet. As far as I know, the model's original name is indeed snowflower. Philip Shen lived in the US for many years, and his English was excellent. He named this model snowflower exactly because of Chinese word for snowflake (which Anne wrote about). Note also that there is a second snowflower model, "snowflower 2." I am not aware of any published diagrams for the second snowflower. The one I saw was an original Shen, folded from a knorr soup packet. The inside is silver colored. The material is actually quite nice to fold, and makes beautiful snowflowers. Another good snowflower folding material is transparent paper (tracing paper works well). Boaz
