I hate to rain on your parade, but this probably wouldn't work very well. Unless
you use extremely expensive ink and paper, the black is quite likely to bleed,
making the diagram difficult to read. It would also use up a lot of ink.

If you'd like to test it, try printing the negatives of some pictures of some
models with similar complexity to the ones you contemplate diagramming this way.
I don't think you'll be happy.
