...which generated some discussion of how it would be hard to print such images, and different types of printers. The last sentence of that first paragraph implies to me that Gerardo does not intend that his users print the images at all - they are *just for use on an electronic display*, and he wants to know how people feel about that specific use case. Personally (since he asked) I find black lines/arrows on a white background, with color to show which side is which, easier to read. To me, the contrast between the white and the grey in his image: > https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1441166_769815649701082_1282141698_n.jpg does not seem as obvious or clear as it would be if it were black lines over grey (or another pale color) with a white background. I'm not sure why this is so for me. I do have a mild astigmatism (see link in more recent message from Al Black) and I certainly grew up with origami diagrams on paper, not electronic form, so perhaps it's just visual habit... I have experimented, myself, with different display settings over the years (I still use bright text on a black background for coding) but most of my display settings are black text/lines on white, so perhaps it's just what you get used to. Gerardo, you don't say *why* you're thinking of doing this. Is it just to experiment, or create a distinct look? Is there some specific issue you're trying to address? Anne
