I found an 8-pc modular ring/star in a box (w no reference to model name or creator name). I reverse-engineered it to figure out how it was folded. It's a pretty little star, best made w colorful printed 2" sq paper.
I can't post photos on o-list but I'll try my best to describe it cause I would like to know whose model it is etc. The module is made from a fish base, that's folded flat to create 2 long skinny triangles & 2 short wide triangles. The model is then pieced together by interlocking the triangles... at top it'd be L wide triangle over R wide triangle & at bottom it'd be L skinny triangle over R skinny triangle. So there's some tension in the locking. The final lock is where two little triangles sticking out are folded over & tucked into adjacent pockets. The resultant ring/star is delicate but holds well together & has 16 skinny spikes around the edge. A description of course is not as good as a photo so if anyone can help & wants to help, plz write me off-list & I'd be happy to send you photos of the model... Thanks... Vishakha NYC .
