I was just curious... 1. How old are the first origami chopstick rests? Did they exist before the mass production of disposable chopsticks in wrappers?
2. Where did they FIRST come from: Japan, Vietnam, China, a totally different country like maybe USA...? 3. Is there some sort of story behind origami chopstick rests? I mean, there's a story behind the invention of sandwiches, maybe there's also one behind origami chopstick rests. 4. How common are they nowadays -in restaurants- in countries where people use chopsticks in a daily basis? I know that probably there isn't any real answers for any of my questions (maybe just for the last one) but it was worth a try : )
