As someone who owns a couple 3d printers, I'm sort of curious about this
now. If I ever get around to doing it I'll report back with the results.

As others have mentioned the initial print will be rough, but it might be
usable with some creative design and a little finishing. One potential
advantage to this I can see is the ability to create custom shapes for
specific folds, or with particular angles (22.5°, 30°, etc).
