I'm curious about the name of the Kawasaki Rose. Did Toshikazu Kawasaki
really named it like that or when did we started calling it like that?

In Winson Chan's diagrams it's called Kawasaki Rose. They are available

But according to Gilad's Origami Page, none of his rose designs have that
name:
