Not sure what makes it confusing. My guess is it's others who have applied the Kawasaki nomenclature to identify and distinguish a Kawasaki rose from other generic origami rose as well as distinguish a particular style/technique base used in Kawasaki and Kawasaki-variant roses (the tubular twist fold employed). In the past I used to always reference "Montroll horse" although in the book "Origami Sculptures", the model is simply called "horse" (now with his more recent book "Horses", it's now called "classic horse"). Well, there are a number of origami models simply called "horse". So when referring to models I sometimes tack on the author's name (like "Lang tarantula", "Kasahara panda"- even when though there are more than one version). My guess. Michael
