In addition to geometrical constructions with origami, it has a brief 
recreations section with hexaflexagons, cube (waterbomb), pop-up dodecahedron, 
and the flat part of a Fröbel star. The flexagons and the pop-up are better 
described by Martin Gardner in his Scientitic American collection books. It is 
unclear if Johnson saw Gardner's articles or if they have a common, prior 
source. Gardner is not the original author of either of these models.
