Too true.  However, that is what the Sun CTS tests are for -- to
equalize the behavior of all implementations of the J2EE APIs.  When,
for example, Orion and JRun ship with CTS-passing versions,  the world
will be a better place for J2EE.  J2EE is a joke without the
compatibility tests.  Unfortunately, only a small handful of the J2EE
licensees have passed the tests, and some aren't even shipping the
version that passed yet (Iona).  I think J2EE has at least a year to
mature before WORA becomes realistic.  Note that for J2EE 1.3, all
licensees must pass CTS _prior_ to shipping their products.  It will be
interesting to see if Sun is able to maintain this restriction, and how
many vendors will be able to continue competing in this market if they
do.
