I mean as a repacked OSS product. That's a new situation. Look att
Netscape -> Mozilla. It doesn't seem that easy to release a former
commercial product as OSS.

Are there many installations of SAPDB as a standalone product? Isn't it a
bit different from using it as an integrated database engine in the SAP
environment?

Anyway, it's really nice with several well supported free database engines
around.
