Hello,
I have installed libsynthesis_3.2.0.27 but still configure script of both the
releases of syncevolution are showing error:
"checking for "synthesis"... Package synthesis was not found in the pkg-config
search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `synthesis.pc' to
the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'synthesis' found
configure: error: Library requirements ("synthesis") not met; consider
adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a
nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them."
I can not find any synthesis.pc made after installing libsynthesis. How can
this be resolved?

Hi,
I have checked the release of syncevolution. I was using
syncevolution-0-9-beta-2009-05-05 rather than the syncevolution-0-9-beta2
release.
I have now downloaded the beta 2 release and trying to bring it up. Configure
script displayed error for libsoup which was not needed for the previous
release that I was using. Libsoup is showing error for glib version mismatch
although I already have glib 2.15.3 installed.
Is there some package so that I get all the dependencies also?

Would you mind helping me understand this issue? Does your
configure-pre.am contain "AX_BOOST_BASE(1.34)"? If you have the older
"AX_BOOST_BASE()" the version check is skipped, but I thought beta 2
already had that check.

What is your Evolution version? Did the configure run report that the
libebook backend is supported? Are there other undefined symbols?
The configure script should check that the lib is present and only
compile the code above if it is. Perhaps you are using an old Evolution
which doesn't have E_CONTACT_REV.
As a workaround you can configure with --disable-ebook. Then you can
still synchronize Evolution calendars (--enable/disable-ecal). If all
fails, the file backend should always work:
