Where have you seen the error? qemu-system-arm? Solaris binary on ARM? I cannot give you appropriate advice without exact information or error messages because there are a lot of situation which the segmentation fault occurs.
If you cannot get enough information while running ./ne1.sh, please run "sh -x ne1.sh" and see the output. If you doubt your toolchain, you can use pre-built toolchain.
