I'm tired of having to manually remove ganglia from the source tree every time I do a fresh checkout. Somewhere in this big wide world full of computers and networks, I'm sure you can manage to find some place to maintain or use a cvs tree. Or perhaps you can do things the old fashioned way and keep separate tar files somewhere. And if you can't do either of those, or manage to think of something else, try harder.
