Category: Packages Group: Future >Status: Pending >Resolution: Wont Fix >Priority: 1 Submitted By: Jeremy Enos (jenos) Assigned to: Steven A. DuChene (sad) Summary: Ganglia - rpm -e doesn't kill gmond Initial Comment: I have a workaround in start_over, but this really belongs in the rpm. In the %preun section of the specfile, just put something there to make sure gmond is stopped. i.e. : service gmond stop An rpm should clean up processes if it's cleaning the files that started them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jason Brechin (brechin) Date: 2003-03-06 15:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=274641 Since ganglia is not included in OSCAR any more, should we remove this bug from the OSCAR tracker? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jeremy Enos (jenos) Date: 2002-08-03 06:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=270124 If this is a straight up rpm from Ganglia, then it's not Steve's problem anyway... we can stick with the workaround. Steve- did you create the Ganglia rpm, or get it from another source? If the latter, we can mark this invalid or something and close it out. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=587322&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
