So I got modules and switcher working under both SuSE 8.1 and 8.2 (thanks
again, Rich!).

LAM/MPI works fine on SuSE 8.2.

However, the LAM RPM's require a newer version of glibc than is on SuSE
8.1. I can easily build LAM RPM's for SuSE 8.1, but the question that
comes to mind is: why bother?

If this is the first SuSE release for OSCAR, shouldn't we start off with
the most recent stuff (8.2)?

I don't have strong feelings either way -- I'm happy to build another LAM
RPM, but wanted to see what the group thought of this issue.
